About
To Whom It May Concern,
My current resume represents snippets of my accomplishments as a generalist programmer, systems architect and business owner. It is designed in this way in order to elicit a conversation about myself and my accomplishments and contributions.
Intentionally missing from my resume are all the subjective material that I hope we can talk about. For instance I’m very business oriented and customer driven(think agile). It’s not enough to write good code you have to know, understand, and appreciate the end-user/customer. Also absent from the resume are anecdotes that demonstrate my creativity, aptitude, mentoring and attention to detail; not to forget the bottom line.
My resume summary should say:
I am a 25 year veteran programmer and system architect with progressive collaborative, development and leadership skills focused on, but not limited, to complete (system, application, database) design and integration including networking, security, sysadmin, DBA, project management, and custom software development. Two project designs were acknowledged by SleepyCat and I have been recognized by my superiors for my skills, dedication and vision. My expertise lies in being able to bring the best future-proof and cost effective solutions forward.
But even this statement is incomplete. My resume is available and so is a comprehensive list of all of the projects I’ve worked on and languages and tools(a work in progress) I’ve worked with.
